Prod Buddy

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Prod Buddy(the “Service”), an autonomous on-call product operated by Hova Labs (“we,” “us”). By creating an account, connecting an integration, or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms on behalf of yourself and any organization you represent (“you”).

2. What the Service does

Prod Buddy ingests errors from your monitoring tools (e.g. Sentry, Bugsnag, Rollbar, Datadog), diagnoses them using AI, proposes code fixes, opens pull requests against repositories you connect, and notifies responders by SMS and email. The Service is a tool that assists your engineering team — final responsibility for any code merged or action taken in your systems rests with you.

3. Account eligibility & signup codes

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Service is currently invite-only — a valid signup code is required to create an account. Codes are single-use and non-transferable. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping credentials confidential.

4. Plans, billing & usage

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Usage-based components (AI tokens, SMS segments, active projects) are metered and reported to Stripe at the end of each billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may suspend or downgrade your account for non-payment after a grace period. Plan limits (project count, member count, monthly incident count) are enforced and described on the pricing page.

5. Your data & content

You retain ownership of all data you provide to the Service, including error events, stack traces, code, repository contents, and ticket data (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited license to process Customer Data solely to operate the Service for your organization. We do not use your Customer Data to train AI models for any other customer.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide Customer Data to us and to authorize us to access connected systems (e.g. GitHub repos) on your behalf.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service as a hosted offering to third parties.
  • Submit malware, attempt to compromise the Service's infrastructure, or circumvent rate limits or access controls.
  • Use the Service to make automated changes to production systems you do not own or are not authorized to modify.

7. AI-generated content & PRs

Diagnoses, proposed fixes, and pull requests generated by the Service are produced by AI and may be incorrect, incomplete, or unsafe. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any code change before merging to a production branch. The auto-merge feature, where enabled, is gated by your CI checks and configuration; you accept the risk of any change merged under your configured policy.

8. SMS & email notifications

By providing a phone number and consenting at signup, you authorize the Service to send you SMS and email notifications related to errors, on-call rotations, incident status, and billing. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any message; you can manage email notifications from your account settings. Opting out of incident-related notifications may degrade the value of the Service for your team.

9. Third-party integrations

The Service relies on third-party services (Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, Twilio, Vercel, GitHub, and your chosen error/ticket providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, data loss, or actions taken by third-party services.

10. Suspension & termination

You may cancel at any time from billing settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, prolonged non-payment, or to comply with law. On termination, your access ends and your Customer Data is handled per our Privacy Policy retention rules.

11. Warranties & disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or suitable for your use.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if advised of the possibility.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your Customer Data, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to organization owners and posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
